Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea

Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea is a science fiction about a submarine exploring the depths of the ocean. Whale harpoonist Ned Land sails to sea in search of a mysterious creature that has been sinking ships and discovers that the creature is actually a submarine. The submarine’s insane captain, Nemo, has been sinking ships in an effort to stop warfare at sea. In this novel, the French novelist, Jules Verne, known as “the man who invented the future,” created a unique blend of science and adventure. His remarkable tale of a strange underwater craft, piloted by the eccentric Captain Nemo, predicted the coming of the deep-sea submarine.
